WHO IS David HOROWITZ?
Named to Adweek's Creative 100, David is from New Jersey, so you probably went to college with him. As head writer and CD for MTV’s On-Air Promos department, he created 100s of spots and campaigns, many of which he directed. He then moved into commercials, directing in the US and France for clients like VW, Ikea, Bud Light, ESPN, ATT, and Nintendo. David joined Mekanism as a CD in 2009, helping build (not, um, physically) the NY office while writing and directing for clients such as Boost Mobile, Del Taco, HBO, and Pepsi. As ECD, David continued to grow the agency while leading accounts including HBO, Ben & Jerry's, Jose Cuervo, Brisk, and OKCupid. He lead the creation of It’s On Us, the Obama Administration’s campaign against sexual assault, Joe Biden’s 2020 Presidential campaign viz ID, as well as many new business initiatives. David became CCO in 2022, leading the creative department on the East Coast. David lives in New York City - all of it.
